Lana Winters: "Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to LIVE! With Lana Winters, I am Lana Winters and I'm here today with Stacy Jones. Ms. Jones, thank you for taking the time out of your day to join us."
Stacy Jones: "Thank you, Lana. Happy to be here."
Lana Winters: "Well, here we are, just a few minutes after the season finale ended. Now that the ride is over and you've seen the finished product, what do you think?"
Stacy Jones: "Oh man, I absolutely love it! And it's been a blast working alongside several of my friends and work colleagues as well as getting to meet others who I've heard of but hadn't actually met. Acting was always something I wanted to try out but never got the chance to until now. But yeah, I think people are gonna love the show for many different reasons."
Lana Winters: "We've been waiting anxiously since the casting announcement was announced for you, and Zoey Madiagn-Star to appear and in the finale you both did. At the head of what could only be called, the horde to end all hordes."
Stacy Jones: "Yeah, that was so fun to do. Playing that kind of character was a very interesting and unique thing for me, and Zoey is my best friend so getting to appear for the first time in such a badass way alongside my bestie made the whole experience even cooler."Lana Winters: "Did any of you know Jessica Matthew's was gonna be on that ridge before the shooting for the finale?"
Lana Winters: "Did any of you know Jessica Matthew's was gonna be on that ridge before the shooting for the finale?"
Stacy Jones: "Yeah, we all did. That sort of thing isn't easy to keep quiet but despite that, we ourselves kept quiet about Jess' involvement. Which in hindsight, it's a good thing that this is my first interview talking about the show, because had I been interviewed before the finale aired... I may have accidentally blurted out Jess' involvement, haha.
Lana Winters: "Haha. Speaking of Jess. You are close with both her and her husband Dean. As we all know, Jackson Mawl, the character Dean portrayed was killed by what the fans are calling "The Horde Queen." What was it like watching your friend rip her husbands, who is also a close friend of yours, heart out?"
Stacy Jones: "Oh man... it was intense! I mean, even though I'm in the show myself, because it's the sort of thing that I personally enjoy watching. I'd be watching the episodes myself because I'm genuinely a fan. So you see... I was actually expecting the Jackson character to last so when that happened, I was shocked because I was like, wait? WHAT?! Jackson's dead?!?! And then just... with how realistic it looked... I mean, props to the make-up and effects team because they did a Hell of a job. I honestly had to take a moment and remember it was fake and that I didn't just witness someone I consider a sister from another mister murder someone I consider a brother from another mother."
Lana Winters: "Was there any awkwardness on the set after the scene between the two? It's not everyday a husband gets to be killed by his wife and live to tell about it. haha."
Stacy Jones: "Oh no, not at all, haha. If anything, they found the whole ordeal rather humorous."
Lana Winters: "They found it humorous? That doesn't sound surprising at all. HAHA."
Stacy Jones: "Yeah, most days on set were a good laugh. I think it probably helped that most of us already knew each other and were very close... and those who didn't really know each other, they knew someone else on set who knew that other person so it was very easy to form new friendships. For example, I was aware of Samantha Hamilton who, as you know plays Jema Delacroix, but I had never met her in person until we started filming the show. Cool thing was though... Bethy, our very own Abigail Ryder, knew Sam personally... and so because of that, I feel like Sam and I became close much quicker than perhaps we would have done had we not had a mutual friend in Bethy."
Lana Winters: "Did you have a favorite character in season 1?"
Stacy Jones: "Mine of course! Haha, just kidding. Uhhhmm... I really like Abigail, like... her character just instantly grabbed me and I think she's super cool. But all of the characters are great and I feel like everyone involved really play their characters very well which makes it pretty difficult to pick just one favorite."
Lana Winters: Did you have anything that was particularly fun to shoot?"
Stacy Jones: "Well the entire experience for me was fun just because of how different it was from what I normally do. And playing a character that is an evil badass who doesn't talk was a big challenge but I loved every second of it."
Lana Winters: "It had to be hard to do so much with just expression and body language. Was it a difficult adjustment?"
Stacy Jones: "Yes and no. With the profession I'm in, professional wrestling, we do use our words in interviews or when we're talking directly to our opponents. But we also use expressions and body language as well during matches because of course, getting hit hurts and we tend to over exaggerate our expressions to get a desired reaction from our fans. It was still quite a learning experience though for sure."
Lana Winters: "One last question Miss Jones. Of all the characters who survived the first season, do you see any of them falling to the Horde Queen, her generals and the horde in season 2?"
Stacy Jones: "Well, considering I never expected Jackson to be killed in season one? I honestly believe anyone and everyone is fair game... I don't even believe Madison and Abigail are safe despite them being the main characters. Anything is possible I feel, but one thing that I do know is that I cannot wait to start shooting the second season."
Lana Winters: "Fair enough. Well, Ms. Jones, thank you for your time!"
Stacy Jones: "It's been a pleasure. Thank you for having me."
