The episode opens up into the evening sky. It focuses on the clouds passing by the moon for a moment then comes back down again this time to show a thick chain link fence topped in razor wire and a square sign which read “Property of the U.S. Armed Forces. Use of deadly force authorized.”
Department 17
“Angels”
The shot shifts suddenly to the street that ran alongside the fence to see a caravan of black SUV’s speeding by one after another. When they reached the checkpoint, the camera focused on the license plate of the lead car and the strange circular purple symbol that was on Alexander's badge. No sooner had they reached the checkpoint than the gate came up and the SUV’s pulled past.

Alexander Marks: “You’ll get all your answers when we arrive.”
Alexa Morgan: “And when the fuck is that?!”
Alexander looked out the window leaning to the side a bit and then back into his seat with a little smirk.

Both women looked over and their eyes widened. Sitting on the runway of the base was the biggest aircraft they had ever seen. It was a AC-13 Lockheed in its basic construction but nearly as big as two of them with two Apache attack choppers flying in circles above it.
Alexander Marks: “Welcome to the Excalibur. Command Center of Department 17.”
The SUV’s slowed to a stop and those inside departed. Lillian and Alexa walked behind Alexander watching the man who had helped them in the parking structure walking a hundred yards ahead speaking loudly to two women who walked with him so they could hear him over the sound of the helicopters.
They all walked to the back of the aircraft where it was open revealing a mammoth cargo bay where the Apaches were stored. They walked inside where the two women and Lawrence disappeared down a hallway but Alexander led them through the cargo bay and into the bowels of the aircrafts stark steel walls finally leading to what appeared to be a conference room with a table that would sit nearly forty people comfortably with a huge array of television screens on the wall. All of them were showing a different part of the strange circular logo so the entire wall was one huge purple emblem.
Alexander crossed the room and came to a stop beside a bald man with glasses who was sitting at the head of the table. The man didn’t rise to greet them, instead opening his hands with a smile inviting them to sit on each side of the table beside him.
Alexa and Lillian looked at one another and slowly, nearly hesitantly, moved to the chairs and took their seats. They each visibly relaxed when no mechanized restraints suddenly popped up and held them in place.
Lincoln Bell: “Thank you for joining me. I can only imagine what you two are thinking.”
Alexa Morgan: “Oh, I don’t think you can.”
Lincoln Bell: “I am Special Agent Lincoln Bell and I am the commanding officer of Department 17.”
Lillian Kim: “What exactly is Department 17?”
Alexa Morgan: “And what in the fuck is a Loroca!?”
Lincoln glanced behind him at Alexander and let out a weary sigh.
Lincoln Bell: “I see you didn’t tell them anything.”
Alexander Marks: “You’re better at this than I am.”
Lincoln let out a little snort and turned his attention back to the women.
Lincoln Bell: “We are a branch of the National Security Agency founded in secret just before the Civil War by President Buchanan after certain events were brought to light that had to be hidden from the world at all costs.”
Lillian Kim: “Events? What events?”
Lincoln Bell: “....The apocalypse all those preachers have been preaching for centuries now? It already happened. And Heaven lost.”
Alexa blinked and leaned back in her chair but Lillian just stared at the man in shock. Finally Alexa threw her head back and let out a deep resonating laugh.
Alexa Morgan: “The apocalypse. Right. Did Jenkins put you up to this?”
Alexander comes off the wall and tosses a thick white folder onto the table in front of her. It slid to a stop just before reaching her while Lincon kept his attention on Lillian who was turning a deadly shade of pale.
Lincoln Bell: “Tell your friend what you are feeling Ms. Kim. You know I’m telling the truth don’t you?”
Lillian Kim: “....Yes. I can feel the cold dread welling up inside me. Why?”
Alexander came around the table and flipped the binder in front of Alexa open. The front page showed a black and white picture of what looked like the worst thunderstorm in history. Flashes of blinding white lightning shooting from the sky as far as the eye could see.
Alexander Marks: “When the war was lost and those in what they called Paradise realized there was no way to win they activated a contingency plan. One of their creators' final commands.”
Lillian Kim: “...The Eden protocol…”
Lincoln smiled and nodded, pointing to the next page as Alexa slowly turned it with a shaking hand. The image was that of a U.S. Soldier who was in his twenties but there was something off about him. His eyes were glowing white.
Lincoln Bell: “Paradise is pure energy, so we are told, and this...Eden Protocol...instructed all those in paradise that should the end war be lost and all that remained was us and the dregs of Hell? Those who survived the war were to descend. They took that to mean to take physical form, as you can see from the picture but that….”
The next picture was that of a small inlet of trees blown outwards, bent nearly to the ground as if hit by a bomb.
Lincoln Bell: “...Proved to be impossible. It was simply too much power to be held inside the shell and eventually the body….”
Alexa looked up sharply, her eyes wide.
Alexa Morgan: “Exploded?!”
Lincoln Bell: “Yes. So it was commanded that they would sacrifice themselves and instead of taking possession of a person...they simply gave themselves to that person. We call them hitchhikers.”
Lilliam Kim: “Hitchhikers?”
Lincoln Bell: “They hide inside the blood, inside every cell in the human body until someone that can harness them comes along and then….”
Alexa turned the page and the next photo showed a black and white photo of a woman with red hair with her foot on the neck of a reptile-like creature whose head had been twisted around, blood leaking out of its opened mouth.
Lincoln Bell: “I cannot get into the specifics of how it all works right now, but let’s just say they help us fight.”
Alexa Morgan: “Fight what?!”
Alexander Marks: “The Hitch-hiker's from the other side. Those who have come here to do to the human race what they did to paradise.”
Lincoln Bell: “Over the years we have taken the lessons given to us in that first meeting and used them to create weapons that the chosen can use to fight the Legion.”
Lillian’s eyes widened and she brought her hand to her mouth.
Lillian Kim: “The white glow on the guns!”
Alexander Marks: “Yes, among other things.”
Alexa Morgan: “And what does that have to do with us?! Why are we even here?!”
Lincoln Bell: “Well, you are here because you know about them now.”
Alexa Morgan: “....The blood….”
Lincoln Bell: “Precisely, and because you know? They’ll stop at nothing to kill you.”
Alexa put her face in her hands and ran them down the skin as she blew out a deep breath. Dropping them back down to the table she closed the book with hundreds of pages still unseen and turned her attention to the man sitting at the head of the table.
Alexa Morgan: “You said I’m here for that. What about Lil?”
Lincoln Bell: “Lillian is a special. Her family is special.”
Alexa looked at the woman across from her she had known her whole life and Lillian stared down at her hands as the strange feeling began to well up inside her. Somehow she knew what he was gonna say before he said it. Like with the blood in her lab, she had simply known.
Lillian Kim: “I have a hitch-hiker inside me…”
Alexa threw her hands into the air in disbelief and rose from the chair throwing it back into the wall with a clatter.
Alexa Morgan: “I am a goddamn county sheriff and you expect me to sit here and accept that you are all...Angels?”
Lincoln Bell: “Oh, Agent Marks and myself are nothing of the sort.”
Alexander Marks: “And technically, neither is she.”
Alexa turned her attention to the ragged looking man standing slightly behind Lillain who stood with his arms over his chest.
Alexander Marks: “You remember the soldiers from early on? The ones who exploded?”
Alexa just nodded, refusing to even give the response words.
Alexander Marks: “That was an angel, or a celestial as we have come to call them. The Hitch-Hikers are a fraction of that, a small fraction at that. It was the only way that they could help us without...boom. So they sacrificed themselves to give us a fighting chance.”
The camera moved back to Alexa as a flash of the parking garage suddenly showed on the screen. Alexa standing there as Lawrence Ford simply appeared and shoved her to the ground as the Loroca attacked.
Lincoln Bell: “Now, as far as what attacked you….”
Lincoln lifted an arm pointing a remote over his shoulder at the wall of televisions. Each of them came to life showing a different image. Some were in color with beautiful clarity, others were old black and white and others yet were the faint green of night vision.
But all of them showed nightmares.
The owl like creatures that had attacked them in the garage, wolf like monsters that ran in packs on all fours, giant hulking titans that crushed through anything in their paths and bipedal reptilian creatures. All of them locked in combat with people in all black tactical armor.
Lincoln Bell: “The armies of hell. All consuming and in full command of the Legion. And we are all that stands between the world you love, and them.”
Lillian and Alexa looked at one another too stunned to speak. All of it was real. A whole world of horrors that was hidden just beneath the surface. Just as the brunette woman was about to look up and demand to know why they were even being told these things two objects were slid across the table by the man sitting at the table's head.
Two gleaming metal circular badges of Department 17.
Alexander Marks: “We’d like to recruit you. Both of you.”
Lincoln Bell: “It’s not compulsory, but if you decline the offer and return to your normal lives and divulge what you have learned here? I’m sure you understand the consequences….”
Alexa took the badge and looked down at it while Lillian just looked over at the two men now standing at the head of the table.
Lillian Kim: “Can we...think about it? This is a lot to process…”
Lincoln Bell: “Sure. We’ll have to insist you remain on board until you have come to a decision.”
Alexa Morgan: “Of course you will.”
Bell chuckled and rose from his chair with the two women following him.
Lincoln Bell: “Oh, and for your own saftey.”
He led them through the doors into the hallway and motioned to the small glass window revealing the night sky beyond.
They were in the air.
Lincoln Bell: “Don’t try and exit the plane until we land.”
The two women looked at one another in shock at the realization the massive plane had gotten into the air and neither of them had even felt it.
The group began down the hallway passing by a woman in a business suit wearing a Department 17 badge on her left breast. As she passed them and walked by one of the windows the camera came sharply to the reflection of the woman as she passed to reveal a red haired woman with fox ears wearing a black biohazard mask.
**
The shot shifts into a small confined room with two costs and not much else. Alexa and Lillian sat on the two cots, each of them lost in their own thoughts until the blonde turned her attention to her cop friend.
Lillian Kim: “Penny?”
Alexa Morgan: “Hmm?”
Alexa looked up and suddenly a little smile touched the corner of her lips as she laughed.
Alexa Morgan: “It’s heavy shit Lils.”
She narrowed her eyes at the woman sitting across from her.
Alexa Morgan: “Always knew you were a goodie goodie but I never took you for an actual angel.”
Lillian let out barking laughter and swiped her hand over her friend's leg.
Lillian Kim: “What are you gonna do?”
Alexa lowered her eyes to the badge in her hand she had been rotating around and around between her fingers.
Alexa Morgan: “I...I’m gonna take it.”
Lillian Kim: “Seriously?”
Alexa Morgan: “Yeah. I signed on to be a cop to protect people and now I find out that there is a lot worse out there than dope heads and traffickers. What kinda cop would I be if I didn’t wanna help with this? Fuck my district Lils...I can help protect the world. What kind of person would I be if I walked away from that kinda responsibility?”
Alexa looked up at her friend and offered a little sad smile.
Alexa Morgan: “You’re going home huh?”
Lillian looked down at her hands and folded them over her lap uncomfortably.
Lillian Kim: “I’m a lab geek Lexi. I don’t belong in a world like this…”
Alexa let out a little sigh and pushed herself up. She sat down beside Lillian and put an arm around her friend.
Alexa Morgan: “I know Lils. At least you know you’ll have someone out there trying to keep all this nasty shit at bay.”
Lillian put her head on her friend's shoulder.
Alexa Morgan: “Someone who will protect you.”

The shot shifts from the pair sitting in the room to a much larger room filled with consoles and monitors of every color. A dozen men and women were sitting in the room at the various consoles, including one who was sitting in an elevated seat with a stick in each of his hands and a headset display over his head covering his eyes.
Lincoln Bell and Alexander Marks stood near the back of the room with their arms crossed watching the screens. They knew there was nothing to do now but wait. It was up to the women now if they wanted to risk their lives for this.
The camera slowly moves away from the two men and toward a woman sitting at one of the consoles to their left. She was talking to a man sitting next to her while a radar screen on the dash in front of her spun. It revolved once revealing nothing, but when it came around a second time a half a dozen dots appeared. The instant they did the screen began to beep loudly and the whole display turned red.
The woman’s head snapped back to the screen just as it was completing another revolution and the half a dozen dots had become nearly two dozen. All of them were coming in alarmingly fast.
Woman: “SIR!”
Before Bell could answer another alarm began to sound and the bald man’s attention spun around to one of the consoles behind him and Marks. On this console there were no screens, but every night on the console was bright red.
Lincoln crossed the room to a circular console sitting beneath the pilot and swiped his hand over the empty air between the console and the pilot's chair causing a half a dozen windows to appear and on them empty hallways of Exclaiber were shown.
Woman: “Sir we have a swarm incoming!”
Lincoln Bell: “Alex go and get our guests. Get them armed and ready!”
Alexander Marks: “They haven’t agreed yet!”
Lincoln Bell: “We don’t have time for formalities!”
Lincoln slammed his hand down on one of the buttons and the image of the empty hallway changed to that of the ammo cage where the image of Lawrence Ford appeared, a red light flashing over his head.
Lincoln Bell: “Ford.”
Lawrence Ford: “What do we have Sir?”
Lincoln Bell: “There is a swarm incoming and we have Legion proximity alarms going off inside the Excalibur but I can’t find them.”
Lawrence Ford: “It’s probably Firianna. Bitch can blend in but we need to neutralize that swarm first. Lock down the Nest and send out one of the Helo’s to start to scout. Arm everyone Sir, if Firianna IS here? She’ll have brought Aracha with her.”
Lincoln Bell: “Copy.”
The screen immediately changed back to the rotating view of the hallways of the plane as Bell hit another button on the console and a steel shutter came down separating the command center from the rest of the aircraft.
**
The alarms began to blare, casting the room in an eerie red glow and causing Alexa and Lilian to jump to their feet. The two women looked at one another just before the door slammed open revealing a woman in her late twenties with fiery red hair and full lips.
Alexa Morgan: “What’s happening?!”
Woman: “Command has been overrun. We need to get you two evacuated immediately.”
Alexa offered a nod and stepped forward to follow her but Lillian suddenly grabbed her wrist in a vice like grip. In a flash Lillian could see this same woman standing on a golden pathway. The sky above was once so beautiful and serene, it was now filled with smoke and debris. The woman’s fox ears quivered with excitement and glowing white blood dripped down a black mask covering her mouth and nose.
Lillian Kim: “ALEXA NO!”
The woman’s head slowly turned toward Lillian and slowly her mouth curled upwards into a grotesque smile that showed the faintest hints of blood stained teeth. Lillian threw herself forward, shouldering the woman to the side and rushing from the room with Alexa’s wrist held in a vice like grip.
Firianna: “FUCKING CELESTIAL PARASITE!”
Behind them the woman screamed in rage and threw herself up giving chase with Starsets “Manifest” beginning. The shot immediately shifts to outside in the beautiful night sky, coming out to reveal the Excalibur flying before shifting to the side as the music that accompanied it suddenly dropped hard revealing a swarm of thousands of Loroca shooting across the sky toward the plane.
As the music slows again the shot returns to inside the plane as people were running along hallways and dropping into chairs, as they did the lights on the consoles flared to life and a small port on the outside of the plane was shown revealing a mounted high caliber gun behind it.
The shot then shifts between Alexa and Lillian running through the empty red hued halls and Lawrence Ford with two women walking behind him out of the weapons lock up. They slam the door behind them with the two women taking point with their weapons drawn and ready, clearing the corners one by one making their way toward the cargo bay.
Firianna: “YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM THE LEGION!”
Her voice echoed as Lillian and Alexa hid in the cargo bay behind a stack of boxes. Lillian peeked out and saw the red haired woman coming around a corner and she was no longer alone. Two of the bipedal reptilian-like creatures were walking on each side of her.
Alexa Morgan: “Go…”
Lillian shook her head and watched in horror as Alexa snuck out of the hiding spot and grabbed a wench off one of the boxes but as she moved to toss it a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. Alexa looked up into the face of the red haired woman who stared down at her with hate burning in her eyes.
Firianna: “Found you.”
The music slowed to a stop as the two women stared at one another and Firianna slashed her blood red nails across Alexa’s chest and face, shooting blood across the room causing Lillian to scream in dismay. Firianna turned her attention to the screen and threw her arm out, throwing Alexa across the cargo bay like the full grown woman was a child’s doll.
Firianna: “Filthy Celestial! TAKE HER!”
The two reptilian creatures came toward Lillian who cowered back into the boxes with wide eyes. She was frozen in place by the sheer horror of what was in front of her. The two creatures reached her and reared their arms to strike when the eruption of gunfire suddenly broke the silence.
Bullets tore into the creatures one after another, each one ripping through them like tissue paper and spreading green blood across the floor. The two monsters evaporated into burning ashes to reveal Alexander Marks marching toward them with a glock handgun covered in runes down the barrel in each hand.
Marks turned and continued to fire, this time on Firanna who easily danced out of the way of the bullets between pallets of supplies and the other things stacked in the cargo bay. Marks quickly put himself between Lillian and the woman, his eyes scanning the room.
Firianna came out from between two boxes to his right, slapping the guns from his hands. When she slashes those fingernails across his chest he arches back away causing them to rip into his shirt but not break the skin.
Marks reached back behind him and pulled two knives with curved blades from a crossed sheath at the small of his back. Each of the blades were glowing as he slashed, but Firanna was easily able to dodge each of his strikes. She kicked his legs out from under him and when he hit the ground she brought her heel foot down onto his chest pinning him down.
Firianna: “Filthy little human. You really think you can stand against a member of the Legion?”
Alexander Marks: “No….”
He wheezed, the pressure on his chest so intense he could barely breathe.
Alexander Marks: “....But he can.”
Another figure appeared suddenly vaulting over one of the crates, a foot extended and catching the red haired woman in the side of the face, sending her tumbling to the side off marks. Two feet hit the ground with a hand touching the ground and the camera slowly moving up the legs. When it reached the torso the hand snapped out extending a spear out from a small shaft of metal.
Lawrence Ford.
His eyes were narrowed and focused on Firanna with a strange white glow that illuminated his entire face.
Ford spun the spear like a staff, the tip flashing out and nearly catching the red haired woman a dozen different types as she back peddled away from the agent and chemist. The two women that had come with Ford arrived, opening fire on Firianna, who jumped backwards over a set of crates landing near the wall and slammed her first into a button on the wall causing the bay doors to open.
With a maniacal smile she threw herself out of the cargo bay and into the open air. Beyond the door they could all now see the Loroca all coming fast. With the door open the sounds of the guns outside firing were easily heard, each shot hitting the horde of owl like creatures but not even putting a dent in it.
A sudden gurgle of pain sounded and a set of the crates slid away, clattering to the ground. All of them spun, their weapons at the ready. Alexa was lying over one of the crates, blood streaming down her face and chest with nasty black lines now spreading from the wounds.
Lillian put her hands over her mouth, tears running down her face. All she could do was watch as Ford set his jaw and pulled the high caliber handgun from the holster at the small of his back. He never said a word as he leveled the gun at the brunette woman’s head and pulled the trigger.
Lillian screamed, her eyes widening in horror as her friend died so suddenly and violently right in front of her. But then suddenly Ford was there in front of her. Just when she thought he may do the same to her they just...looked at one another.
Lawrence Ford: “I cannot explain right now but that? That was for her. It was mercy. I’ll explain it all I promise but right now we have bigger problems. You see that?”
Ford pointed behind him through the opened door where the apache was trying to out maneuver the swarm and was failing, with them gaining it more and more by the second.
Lawrence Ford: “If we don’t stop that, we all die and if we all die? The world follows. Marks, we could use you.”
Alexander looked from Lillian to Ford and sighed, nodding curtly and rose to follow him. Lillian was left to watch Ford, Marks and the two women make their way to the second apache, got inside and departed through the opened cargo bay door that shut behind them.
**
The shot shifts to inside the helicopter where Marks was sitting beside the blonde woman with Ford and the brunette woman beside him across from them.
Alexander Marks: “That was cold Ford.”
Lawrence Ford: “You know what Firianna’s poison does.”
Alexander Marks: “You didn’t have to do it in front of her friend.”
Lawrence Ford: “Watching those we love die is nothing new to me Marks. We all need to get used to it if we are gonna win this war.”
Alex just shook his head in disdain and placed a cigarette between his lips. His face illuminated by the red glow as it lit and smoke billowed from his nose past them all and out the opened side of the helicopter.
Alexander Marks: “What now?”
Pattie Moore: “Now we stop them from getting to the Excalibur.”
She eased off the seat beside Alex and leveled off a weapon that would usually be mounted atop a heavy armored vehicle. It never ceased to amaze Alexander at how light the celestial upgrades made some of these weapons for the hitchhikers.
The shot shifts outside the apache as it zigged and zagged around the sky between the swarm, with each projectile fired from the massive gun in the woman’s hands hitting a portion of the horde where it would detonate into a thunderous fireball that engulfed anything in its path.
Moments passed with the two apache’s and the guns from Excalibur firing on the swarm and while they were making progress it simply wasn’t enough. More and more of the Loroca were landing on the top of the aircraft and taking out the anti-personnel guns that were mounted on it and being fired from inside.
The shot quickly moves back inside the chopper with Ford hanging on to one of the bars on the helo’s exit watching the progress.
Lawrence Ford: “Take me down there.”
Blonde Woman: “ You’re insane!”
Lawrence Ford: “We don’t have time to argue Alison. Do it!”
The apache dropped down to near the level of the plane, with those inside concentrating fire on the Loroca who were already standing on the aircraft to give Ford a path to exit safely. Once he was down on the metal surface another set of feet landed beside him he glanced over and found Alexander Marks standing beside him as the apache pulled back and the two women inside continued to fire on the swarm.
Alexander Marks: “You think we got a chance?”
Lawrence Ford: “Not really, but we’re gonna give it our best shot.”
As the two said the words a door began to open on the far side of the plane. Slowly it came down revealing a set of beautiful blonde hair flapping in the sudden extreme wind of the plane’s exterior.
**
The blonde woman stared at the body of her friend lying half off the crates to her right, tears running down her face. It had all fallen away.
The screaming of the strange owl creatures that were coming closer and closer by the second.
The gunfire of the big guns attached to the plane she was currently in that were trying to repel them.
The pounding of the feet of other agents all running around the plane trying to find some way to be useful.
All of it had fallen away. None ofl that mattered.
Alexa was dead.
All Lillian could do was sit there and stare at her friend, watching the blood slowly drip down into a puddle on the ground. But behind the grief and pain there was something else. She could hear Alexa’s voice.
“What kinda cop would I be if I didn’t wanna help with this? Fuck my district Lils...I can help protect the world.”
The camera comes in on her face and the resolve suddenly appears in her eyes. She quickly gets to her feet and exits the cargo bay with “Manifest” beginning again soft in the background. When she reaches the weapons cage she throws the gate open and heads inside pulling a large automatic rifle from the weapons rack, shocking herself when she knows exactly which clip is used and slams it into place. As soon as the clip engages the whole barrel lights up and the weight of the weapon all but disappears.
“Manifest” picks up louder as Lillian runs through the hallways following the little arrows leading to the top of the plane. When she finally stepped into the elevator she grabbed the little hat on her head and tossed it to the floor.
The door opened to a roar of the window, her hair blowing around her face and the camera focused in on the resolve in her eyes as she raised the weapon and the first burst of the rifle with the words.
“I think i’m getting used to the fire-fight”
Three of the Loroca exploded into a blast of burning ashes as the bullets struck them. Lillian came out of the elevator, her skirt and shirt blowing around to match her hair but she joins the two men. Alexander in the center with Ford and Lillian flanking on either side.
Alexander Marks: “Good to see you, Kim.”
Lillian Kim: “It’s what Alexa would have wanted.”
Alexander Marks: “Alright. Let’s clear them off!”
He commanded and the two beside him took off in opposite directions, the rifle in her hands firing rapidly while the desert eagle in Ford’s hand fired slower but with much more precision. Marks walked straight, a glock in each hand with white fire erupting from each barrel as he fired.
“Manifest” by Starset continued to play hard as the camera moves out to the helicopter where it zoomed into the eye of Alison Meyers, which turned into the sight of a rifle that fired shot after shot from the apache, each round hitting the swarm and exploding. The other apache flying around them, its guns ripping into the swarm.
The camera returned to the three standing atop the plane just as Lillian and Lawrence backed into one another and spun around ready to fire, but neither did. The camera focusing instead on their eyes, Ford’s filled with righteous fury and Lillian’s with blind rage at what Lawrence had done.
The two stare at one another for a moment then continue past, each of their weapons firing in rapid succession. All around them the Loroca were screaming and burning to ash leaving nothing but the faintest little burn where they had been standing until there were none left, the apache’s flying in circles around the clear airspace around the Excalibur.
Alexander, Lillian and Lawrence all looked at one another with Lillian resting the back of the rifle on her shoulder.
Lillian Kim: “Okay. I’m in.”
The camera pulls out and floats down as the song continues to play, coming harder and harder before the chorus continues one final time.
“Fall in and fall away.
There’s something in the hate we make.”
The same rhythm continues repeated by the guitar and drums over and over as an image of the young man Raz appears stepping through the damp dropping remnants of an abandoned warehouse from one side of the building while the red haired Firianna comes from the other side.
Together they come to a stop in front of a circular carving in the ground which immediately erupts into flames and blood revealing a massive frame of a man with blonde hair and a blonde beard. Razian drops to a knee with his head bowed in reverence to the man as the camera shifts to Firianna’s point of view to find the man isn’t a man, but a dirty blonde haired woman causing the red haired woman to drop to her knees as well in homage.
“Fall in and fall away.
I can see the darkness…
Manifest.”
And the purple logo of Department 17 slams into the screen and the episode ends.
